The Hillmen Foundation was founded in 1989 by two renowned PHS educators and principals, Jug Covich and Tom Johnson. Even then, they recognized the critical need for community support to fill the gaps in public education funding and ensure that Placer High and its students thrive. Through a collaboration of alumni, faculty and staff, parents, friends, and business and community supporters, their vision and tenacity created a Foundation that is now 35 years strong. Still, the need for the Hillmen Foundation has never been more important.

Providing a strong educational environment goes well beyond what state funding provides. Placer High is critical to ensuring healthy property values and the economic benefits of a well-educated workforce for our community.
